Furthermore, we also ensure the use of inclusive language in both internal and external communications.

Our proactive measures include a plan to train hiring managers in identifying and addressing unconscious bias during interviews. While we’ve made progress, we acknowledge the need for further advancements, particularly in women’s representation in leadership roles.

  • Promoting Renewable Energy: All energy used in our offices and warehouses in Spain comes from 100% renewable sources. All our facility charging points use 100% renewable energy.
  • Sustainable Infrastructure Development: We install solar panels on newly constructed warehouses.
  • Energy Efficiency Improvement: We implement energy-saving practices in our warehouses and provide training to electric vehicle drivers on efficient driving techniques to reduce energy usage.
  • Our commitment includes a 50% reduction target in energy-related emissions by 2024, compared to our 2022 baseline.

Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Ensuring the well-being of our workforce is a cornerstone of our strategy. All of our employees are covered by the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement. Additionally, we prioritize their safety through comprehensive risk prevention strategies and ongoing training.

Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

We actively promote innovation to achieve sustainable development and enhance people’s lives. We have advanced automated and robotic warehouses. We’ve developed algorithms for route planning that consider emissions per delivery, reducing the environmental impact of each transportation route.

Thanks to our technology, our delivery success rate is 10 percentage points higher than our competitors, minimizing re-attempts and returns to our warehouses. Additionally, we’ve installed over 200 electric vehicle charging points at our facilities to accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles.

Goal 10: Reduce Inequalities

Equal rights and protections for workers are non-negotiable. Our employees are all covered by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement, ensuring fair labor conditions for all.

Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

As urban logistics experts, we acknowledge the challenge of planning sustainable urban development. By transitioning to zero-emission vehicles and alternative modes like cargo bikes, we’re contributing to reduced environmental impact and noise pollution.

We promote more sustainable and responsible practices aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing the efficient use of natural resources:

  1. Resource Efficiency: We annually decrease material usage in our warehouses and offices, substituting more polluting materials with reusable alternatives, resulting in a reduced environmental footprint.
  2. Development of Sustainable Business Models: We assist our partners in incorporating sustainable practices into their operations.
  3. Continuous Waste Reduction: We implement ongoing improvements to reduce waste in our warehouses and actively encourage recycling efforts.
  4. Promoting Clean and Sustainable Technologies: We collaborate with initiatives like Volta trucks to develop zero-emission trucks, encouraging the adoption of clean and sustainable technologies.

Goal 13: Climate Action

We’re committed to concrete actions for GHG reduction and climate resilience. In 2022, we cut emissions by 26% per package, primarily through transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. An internally-developed emissions model give us precise control, and we’re working to reduce electricity-related emissions by 50% in 2024. Our staff receives annual environmental education, with 2023 courses focusing on resource usage and circular economy principles.

Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

Transparency and accountability are at the core of our governance model. We’ve developed and published non-financial reports and sustainability reports to underscore our commitment to responsible practices and accountability.
